EY ANNOUNCES ARTURO ELIZONDO OF EVERY® AS AN ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR® 2023 BAY AREA AWARD WINNER
Entrepreneur Of The Year celebrates entrepreneurs who are building a better world

DALY CITY, CA, June 12, 2023 --Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) today announced that Arturo Elizondo, co-founder and CEO of The EVERY Co. (EVERY), was named an Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2023 Bay Area Award winner. The Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards program is one of the preeminent competitive awards for entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies. Elizondo was selected by an independent judging panel made up of previous award winners, leading CEOs, investors and other regional business leaders. The candidates were evaluated based on their demonstration of building long-term value through entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth and impact, among other core contributions and attributes.
For nearly four decades, EY US has honored entrepreneurs whose ambition, courage and ingenuity have driven their companies’ success, transformed their industries and made a positive impact on their communities. “Every year, we are completely blown away by the accomplishments of our Entrepreneur Of The Year Regional Award winners, and 2023 is no different,” said AJ Jordan, EY Americas Entrepreneur Of The Year Program Director. “They are change-makers and champions of business and community, and we are so proud to be honoring them. As a Bay Area award winner and together with other regional winners, Elizondo will be considered for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2023 National Awards, held in November at the Strategic Growth Forum®. The Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner will then move on to compete for the World Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award in June 2024.
In addition to his recognition as an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2023 Bay Area Award winner, Elizondo has been named one of “America’s 50 Greatest Disruptors” by Newsweek, Forbes’ “30 Under 30,” San Francisco Business Times “40 Under 40,” “Ten Innovators to Watch” by Smithsonian Magazine, “2019 Person of the Year” by the National Hispanic Institute, and “10 Latinos Who Inspire the United States” by BBC World News.
This latest accolade for Elizondo comes during a busy time at EVERY, as the company scales up production of its animal-free proteins made with precision fermentation. Recent EVERY milestones include a Joint Development Agreement with Alpha Foods to improve the taste and texture of alternative meat, notable executive hires Nair Flores and Scott Hine, and backing by Anne Hathaway.
